Manage Variations

When viewing Multi-Variation Products in eBay View Mode, you will notice the Manage Variations button next to them. If you click on this button, you will be able to manage each Variation individually. It means that you can provide eBay Catalog Identifiers for each variation of your Multi-Variation Products.

To set up Product Variations, complete the following steps:

  • Navigate to eBay > Listings and open the necessary Listing. Click Manage Variations next to the Multi-Variation Product.

  • In the opened pop-up, click Set in the eBay Catalog Identifiers column.

  • Enter eBay Catalog Identifier values for each variation:

Then click Confirm.

Tip

will be added / will be deleted notice means that Variation will be added/removed during the next Revise action.

Since eBay does not allow removing/replacing Product Variations after they were sold, M2E Pro stores the old inactive variations. This will keep the data consistent during the Item update. To review the variations, click Show Old Inactive Variations in Manage Variations pop-up.

Note

To comply with eBay product-based shopping experience program, you should adjust the old inactive variations within affected categories so that they correspond to the eBay catalog. M2E Pro will collect and store the relevant data automatically for all new Items.

If any of your listed Items already have old inactive variations, you should enter the required GTIN/ePID values manually. Otherwise, eBay will return the error when M2E attempts to revise the Item.

What you should know about submitting an eBay Catalog Identifier:

- The Brand value is taken from the Magento Parent Product and is applied to the whole Item, including its variations.

- You can provide GTIN and MPN values for each variation of your Configurable and Grouped Products in two ways. If they are set in Description Policy, the relevant values will be taken from Magento Child Products. eBay Catalog Identifiers provided for Configurable and Grouped Products via Manage Variations pop-up will have a priority over the settings in Description Policy.

-  eBay Catalog Identifiers for each variation of your Bundle, Downloadable and Simple with Custom Options Products can be provided only via Manage Variation pop-up.

- “Does not apply” and “Unbranded” values can be set for all Variational Products only via Description Policy.
